Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy helps us see within and without the noise. With it, longings, conflicts, and vulnerabilities come out from hiding. From there, I work with you to move past the stuck points that bring about anxiety, depression, and frustration.

Through understanding your past and present, your fantasy, reality, and dreams (awake and asleep and in-between), I listen and create the space for longstanding patterns of disappointment, conflict, and self-criticism to shift. Through time, we move through the noise, allowing greater ease, flexibility, and creativity to emerge within your inner and outer life.

I provide therapy for adults, adolescents, and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions including grief, illness, parenthood, and identity development in both personal and professional spheres.

I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College Columbia University and completed my pre-doctoral internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. I completed my post-doctoral training at NYU Counseling and Wellness Services. I have extensive clinical experience working with diverse populations in hospital, community mental health, and college counseling center settings. I have also taught at Columbia University and New York University at the Undergraduate and Masters level programs.

The act of speaking and being heard with care creates the space for expansive growth. My goal is to create a space where that kind of listening becomes possible.
